L. Anne Thompson is a multidisciplinary artist based in New Westminster, British Columbia, whose work captures the delicate intersection of nature and digital storytelling. With a background rooted in theater, with a BA from Central Washington University, Anne brings a unique, stylist eye to her photography and digital narratives, often infusing her subjects with a sense of cinematic atmosphere.

Her photography has earned international recognition, including multiple honors from the Light Space & Time Gallery for her botanical series. Since 2019, her work has been a regular artist in the Living the Photo Artistic Life digital magazine, featuring evocative pieces like “Sydney Carton” and “Urban Peony”.

Anne’s creative portfolio extends into the realm of sequential art and publication:

  • The Takashima Extraction: In 2023, she released this self-published graphic novel, which serves as a culmination of her narrative and digital composition skills.
  • Exhibition History: Her mixed media portraits, such as the “Zeus’ Women” series, have been showcased in Seattle galleries.
  • Technical Roots: Her early career was spent in the theater, where she served as a Lighting Designer and Costume Designer for various productions in Seattle and Ellensburg, Washignton.
  • Featured Recognition: She was a featured artist in the 2016 book Creative Women WorldWide.
