Raindrops on peony

The painterly experiments continue. What I’m aiming for are photos that look like impressionistic paintings, bordering on abstracts. I don’t have the patience right now to manually paint the layers I’m looking for, so working with layers of Photography BB actions, masks and inverted masks and using artistic brushes to mask/reveal the sections I want.

Super proud of myself that I haven’t stuck in lots of collage and stamped elements. I tend to be a page filler. But the eyes need places to rest. I’m on the verge of what I’m going for. Stay tuned.

  1. Sorry I’ve been absent for a while…
This one is amazing. The water droplets look painted and real at the same time. And I love how the top right is a little darker and the bottom left contrasts with a lighter feeling.
