Hi ho art friends. This is the last trio of the July 10 macro walk around the block series.

All images were shot with my Canon Rebel T1i, Canon 50 mm lens, Kenko 12 mm extension tube, ISO 200 with manual focus, shutter speed and aperture. All were processing in Lightroom using the 2 Lil Owls Tiny Details presets and overlays.

In Photoshop, each image was duplicated, high pass run at around 7 then set to overlay. A transparent layer was stamped with Awake class custom brushes by Kate Pertiet and Maya, set to multiply at very low opacity and masked.

Foliage #1 used preset 12 and overlay 3.

Foliage #2 used preset 1 and overlay 12.

Foliage 3, my favorite, used preset 3 and overlay 12. This wee patch of moss was about 4 inches wide and the shoots are less than half an inch tall.

As the last in the batch of the July 10 neighborhood walk, expect something new next time. I’m not sure what, as this series was processed the same weekend as the walk then scheduled.

I don’t know how long these two posts a week will continue. But the weather has been pretty nice and I’m very inspired by the 2 Lil Owls’ classes.

Future shoots include: a bouquet of red Gerbera daisies, my Volks FCS F-48 doll and Dollfie Dream Sister body with DDH03 head. Once my F-48 is here, I’ll probably set up a photo shoot with the two dolls.

Oh, yes, and there’s Takashima updates to post. I plan to take my test photos (from the Teaser slideshow) and drop them into the Comic Book Maker to see how the grungy style images work in comic book form. You can expect that post in the future.

Lastly, as I was processing these trios, it occurred to me that I could create my own grungy overlays using the blurry images, layered with the custom brushes and other textures.

Expect each post when you see it!

Happy creating.
