Hi art friends. I’m getting quite a good handle on shooting manual with the Kenko Extension tubes. I noticed recently that the lavender and lilies on our condo property were in bloom. I went out after work with my trusty Canon Rebel T1i, 50 mm lens, Kenko extension tube. I tried all three and liked the 20 mm tube best. I didn’t bring my tripod for this test. Next time, I’ll bring it along. It’s all but impossible for me to handhold my camera with the 36 mm tube and get a focused image.
While I was working on the lily, I noticed the noise and dug into the layer stack to figure out which caused it. The noise is part of the image, but is enhanced by the high pass layer. I added a layer mask and masked almost the entire layer. The noise in the image is less obtrusive once the grungy overlays are added.
In this batch of photo processing, I used 2 Lil Owls Tiny Details class presets and overlays.
Here are the best of the day’s shoot.
