HI ho art friends.

The flower stories continue.

When I set up these still life shoots, I need to spend a moment thinking about what I’m trying to accomplish. For the first 2 flower story shoots, I just grabbed items and arranged them. Eventually, a sort of story emerged, but mostly, I have a lot of dull photos.

However, it’s a learning process and I’m still new to creating still life scenes, so I just need to give myself a break.

Here are a few more of the better photos of the peony photo shoot. I cleared two shelves in my studio in order to get some deep shadows, which yielded that last image and, I feel, the best of the entire batch, to date. It reminded me of an old Masters painting.

The last photo is available to purchase from my Society6 shop.
