Hi art friends.

I’ve started reading “The 10,000 Doors of January” by Alix E. Harrow. It’s an enchanting story and inspired a new series of work.

Today’s post is a finger exercise using Morguefile images and 2 Lil Owls background paper in Procreate. My theory was to test using Procreate as a tool to sketch an idea. It worked out well and took about 90 minutes.

The next stage of this composition is to go out, shoot the elements. It is possible to export Procreate files with layers. I need to try that sometime.

But not this week. It’s Noir City International 2. It’s a bitter world.

Stay tuned for more Doors.

Happy creating!
