October Plan & the Planner Society

Hi ho lovely readers.

Two months ago, I subscribed to Christy Tomlinson’s Scarlet Lime Planner Society.  The contents of the two boxes I’ve received so far, do not disappoint.  You get a lot of coordinated goodies: sheets of lovely double-sided paper, stickers, die cuts, a pen, stamps, washi tape, clips, a cute little bag and I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. The contents are easily worth the $24.95 per month, plus shipping. You have to commit to a minimum of 3 months, but if you’re a planner girl and you like Christy’s style, you’ll love the subscription. If you’re curious, check out the Scarlet Lime Planner Society site. As of this post, you can see the contents of the September box.

I used last month’s pages to set up a Carpe Diem A5 project planner and that’s as far as I got: setting it up. The project is for my Name Day, which is to take place next May, on the Rez.  There’s a fair amount of work to do…but that’s a post for another day.

Today’s post is about the brilliant idea I had after receiving the September Planner Society box that morphed into another idea. Idea 1: for 2017, use my Carpe Diem planner as my Master Planner and after getting my inserts ready, work month-to-month with the Planner Society contents to create each month’s detailed plan.  Idea 2: I don’t really want to wait another 3 months to start using these goodies, so I decided to use some of the contents of September to decorate my Happy Planner.

Compared to many of planners out there, my decorating style is pretty minimal.  The Happy Planner allows me just enough space to track my to do, fitness goals, and appointments. I don’t need a lot of stickers and whatnot clogging up my pages.  There is just enough space around the edges of the calendar grid for my taste in decorating.

Until I decide whether or not to upgrade to a premium wordpress.com site, I’ll have to settle for a link to my youtube channel with the flip through of my October Happy Planner, decorated with the September Planner Society contents, which nicely coordinated with the Happy Planner pages: October Happy Planner Flip Through Video.

I’m always on the look out for planner ideas and would love to see your planner style. Leave me a comment and link below.

Happy planning!
